In truth, this is just a document to remind myself of what i wanted to do, and what still needs to be done. I currently own, part own, or have responsibility for 1 x BSA Bantam, 2 x VW Beetles, 1 x VW 411, 1 x VW Late Bay Bus and 1 x VW Beetle Drag Car.
Pictures will follow, but first i need to set some targets. My BSA is sorted - my beloved wife had everything needed done to get it through an mot so i can enjoy some miles on 2 wheels again this summer. One of the Beetles is mine. Its a 64, semi tube frame chassis, and i need to collect it from the paint shop. I am currently hoping my Dad will allow its residence. The other Beetle is Tasha's (my wifes). For 2009 it needs the suspension sorting - front and back - the wheels detailed and some new rubber. Sadly it was involved in an accident many years ago and i must get round to fitting some new wings and making a removable rear valance for the car. It would be a lovely runabout then. With a baby on the way, i REALLY want to get the bus done. Im trying to spend a few hours each week on it so progress is always made. It should be ok for an mot soon but the roof and gutters are shot. May bank holiday should see a massive re-roofing mission! And finally the drag car - i am determined to strip this beast down, rebuilt it, donate the engine that would have gone in my car and get it back out on strip!
Now for the sunshine - let the work commence!
