Das Bus, Racing, and .... Fishing

We spent last weekend at James and Michis, who live up near Mallory Park. We spent the Sunday up at Mallory, and had a great day in the sun watching racing whilst enjoying a picnic ... and champagne!

Much conversation was had about racing, and its really got my fired up. I cannot wait to start on Tashas racecar now, and its even got me thinking about future circuit racing and/or hillclimbing.

There are other priorities though, and top of them is getting Das Bus ready and MoT'd! Bill and I are deep in plans to attack the British coastline once more this summer, and hopefully bag ourselves some Bass! The plan is to have Das Bus as the vehicle of choice, so we get a bit more comfort and luxury than cruising round in his diseasel golf. Nothing wrong with the car, but 2 blokes, fishing gear and bait, and 5 hot days do not make for a good smell in such a small space! With this in mind i plan to get a few last jobs finished over this coming bank holiday weekend, and in the meantime i've been stripping down, cleaning, and rebuilding my Shimano Baitrunner fishing reels. Why finish one job, when i can start another!? lol

Hopefully i can also get some elbow grease into those wheels, and finally finish getting them all polished and detailed.

While i think of it - we also saw something GREAT in Nuneaton. Next have their summer range out, and as im a father to be i thought i'd take a quick look. They have an awesome tange of T-shirts, based on the exploded diagrams used in Haynes manuals. Naturally, the one that caught my eye was T-shirt that featured a Bug!

And to top off a great week, i got my phone back yesterday!! Now i can take some decent photos again!!!
